To know all about the new NTA JEE Main 2019 exam process, dates, salient features, pattern, syllabus and more, read the article below.

What is NTA?

It will be the conducting body of all the Examination that was being held by CBSE, AICTE and other such conducting bodies. The NTA would initially conduct those entrance examinations that are currently being conducted by the CBSE. Other examinations will be taken up gradually by the NTA. In this article, we will tell you what to expect this year in JEE Main 2019 with the new conducting body, NTA in the scene. Also get the JEE Mains dates and how you can be ready for the most popular entrance exam of India in 2019.

Newly formed examination authority, National Testing Agency or NTA will conduct JEE Main twice a year online from 2019 and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has released schedule for both the editions yesterday. According to the schedule fixed by HRD ministry, the JEE Main 2019 examinations will be held in January and April. The detailed notification is yet to be released by the organisers, but it can be expected any time.

NTA JEE Main is being held as an entrance examination for admission to engineering courses and as also a screening test for JEE Advanced, its scores have been used for admission in institutes like IITs and NITs.

Currently, the exam is held in both online and offline modes, giving students the chance to pick between the two as per their comfort. Now that the exam is expected to be conducted only in online mode, candidates need to start taking mock tests from early stages to get familiar with exam process. Another factor, i.e. the exam being conducted twice a year has its pros and cons. On one hand, a candidate now gets to rely on two attempts to score well.

The greatest confusion, however, is whether a student can or can’t appear for the exam twice in the same year. In case they can appear twice, then which of the two scorecards will be considered for admission- the better one or the latter one. Also, there will be concern over normalizing scores of candidates who appear in more than one session.

Interested and eligible candidates have to apply online only through official website of JEE (Main) i.e. http://www.jeemain.nic.in. Candidates are advised to read the information booklet carefully before starting the online application process. It is notified that the online application procedure will be commenced from 1st September 2018 2018 onwards. The important information related to JEE Main application form 2019 are given below:

  • Aspirants have to visit the official website to fill JEE Main application form.
  • It should be noted that no other printed or offline mode will be entertained to apply for JEE Main.
  • Applicants should possess Aadhaar Enrollment Number/ Aadhaar Number/Registration Number provided by facilitation center to apply for JEE main 2019.
  • Candidates have to provide all the required details while filling up the online application form.
  • Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature in the prescribed manner.
  • On the successful submission of details, an Acknowledgement Page with Application Number will be generated. Take the print of the same and keep it safe for future reference.

That is why it becomes crucial to scoring some great marks in JEE Main 2019 to get into one of these above listed prestigious institutes.
